Grigory Kalinovsky is a violinist, and educator. He is a professor of violin at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Along with Joseph Swensen, he was appointed one of the two inaugural starling professorship in fall of 2014. [1]

He studied at St. Petersburg, Russia. Then he came to US and studied at Manhattan School of Music. His teachers include: Tatiana Liberova, violin master Pinchas Zuckerman, Patinka Kopec.

Professor Kalinovsky has taught at Manhattan School of Music, after he graduated there. As an active educator, he has taught in Pinchas Zukerman’s Young Artists Program in Canada, and the Heifetz International Music Institute. He has been invited to give a master classes at DePaul University. [2]

He has been invited to Israel and give a series of master classes and perform Brahms in May 2017. From 2013 to 2017 he “has conducted more than 80 master classes worldwide,” says Kalinovsky in a phone interview from his home. [3]
