Scott Nicholson, UK Labour prospective parliamentary candidate for the Perth and North Perthshire constituency in the 2015, UK General Election.

I am a PhD student at the University of the West of Scotland, researching proteinase activaed receptor 2 in B lymphocytes, cartilage, bone and in hypoxic joints and its potential role in rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Before this I researched the hospital super-bug Clostridium difficile at the University of Leeds. I have an MSc in Biomedical Science (medical microbiology) from Ulster University, I am a state registered Biomedical Scientist (HCPC) and was a NHS, Specialist Biomedical Scientist (Microbiology) at Scarborough General hospital.

I sit on the Scottish Executive Committee of the Scottish Labour Party. I was the UK Labour Party's prospective parliamentary candidate for the Perth and North Perthshire constituency in the 2015, UK General Election.[1]
