I am Carol Ann Whitehead FRSA, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. An advocate for women's rights, equality and inclusion I’ve organised International Women's Day events since 2013. A co-founder of the Ada Lovelace Day Zebra Wikieditathon, a campaign which aims to increase women’s global presence on Wikipedia my inspiration and passion comes from the woman’s suffrage and Civil Rights movement. I’ve collaborated with feminist charity FiLiA to bring their globally recognised annual conference to Manchester for 2018, where I connect women local to global for a force for social change. In Westminster in 2018, I joined 300 MPs and potential MPs at the historic 50:50 Parliament #AskHerToStand event striving for 50% representation of women in Parliament.
