Andrew and Joanne Hooker, Australian Recumbent Trike cyclists, have completed a bicycle journey around Australia.

The Hookers began the Australian journey in November 2001 from Perth, Western Australia. Passing across the Nullarbor and proceeding up the east coast of the Australia, crossing to Normanton at the bottom of hte Gulf of Carpentaria before arriving in Cloncurry. Visits to Darwin and then down the barren west coast of Australia via the Kimberley Region saw them arrive back in Perth in September 2003, some 23 months and over 19,000 kilometres later. Keeping a website travelogue on the journey Andrew has written a book about the experiences entitled "Ants, Dust and Flies in my coffee", a direct expression of one of the experiences of living on the road.

The latest trip, entitled 3 Oceans on 3 Wheels commenced in November 2006 from Perth, Western Australia. Again passing acorss the Nullarbour plain where many days were bove 45 degrees Celcius and topped at 51 degrees Celcius.
