- leaving the 'membership' section in an unreferenced and POV-non-neutral state for a week or so while I get some real work done. Sorry!WestCoastSue (talk) 19:33, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
The meaning of "P.E.O." in the organization is an official secret. The most frequent meaning given, "Philanthropic Educational Organization" [1] is also the one provided by the organization itself. Two other published sources have indicated that it stands for "Protect Each Other".[2][3][4]
Membership
editThe modern P.E.O. remains a vital [6] organization drawing on the energies and commitment of members such as Cigall Kadoch, Assistant Professor of Pediatric Oncology, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Forbes 2014 "30-under-30" in her field.[7]
