Misery Guts (Band) are an English Band formed in Liverpool 2008. Misery guts have released 3 EP`s and 1 Single. The Band`s Music is a mixture of Folk,Country and Psychedelia with Modern Rock influences Having been compared to and influenced by Simon & Garfunkel, Fleet Foxes and James Taylor . In the time they have been together they have released the "Trying To Be The Sun" EP to critical acclaim,and also the single " Spiders" to rave reviews. They more recently released the "More Human Than Human" EP. Misery Guts are currently in the studio working on their fourth EP release which will be released in September/October 2010.

History

Formation

The Band formed in 2008 from the ashes of popular Liverpool Indie Rock Band Freemaker. With Freemaker splitting after releasing "The Gates" single on the Indie label 24-100, Lead Guitarist david hirst,bassist leon mcnulty and rythym guitarist Peter Flynne wanted to start a new band with a completeley different direction to indie rock The trio began gigging around Liverpool getting prestigous support slots with the fall, and liverpool legends shack
