Rodney Dale Webb (born January 5, 1968) is an American football coach and former player, and current head coach at Rockwall-Heath High School in Heath, Texas. After graduating from Tarleton State University, where he played offensive guard for the Texans, Webb went into coaching at the high school level. Webb has spent 21 seasons as a high school head coach, reaching the state quarterfinals seven times, the state semifinals four times, and reaching the state finals in 2021 at Denton Guyer HS. He has a career head coaching record of 175-85 and a playoff record of 33-19.
Playing career
editWebb played at Tarleton State University from 1986-1989. He was a four-time All-Conference offensive lineman, and was named 2nd Team NAIA All-American Offensive Guard in 1989. He was awarded the John Fielding Higgs Award, as the team’s Most Valuable Player in 1989. Webb was inducted into the Tarleton State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2007.

Personal life
editCoach Webb has been married to his wife, Fran, for 32 years. He has one daughter, Dr. Gracy Webb, who is a practicing physical therapist. He served as the President of the Texas High School Coaches Association from 2018-2021. He was inducted into the Royse City Athletics Hall of Fame in 2022 and inducted into the Garland Sports Hall of Fame in 2023.
