ONDESHIFIILWA
editOndeshifiilwa is the name given to the place where our freedom Namibian fighters (SWAPO fighters) killed by South africa Force in a war crush.Their bodies were buried at the same place on Wednesday, 5 April 1989. This took place at approximately 30 KM North West of Oshakati town in Ohangwena region (Ongenga constituency) on April 1, 1989. South Africa Force also burnt up community houses incuding Mrs Shiweda's house while she was away for church sevirce
Most Namibians commemorate this date (April 1, 1989) because many Namibian lost their lives on that date. According to New era news paper, about 22 PLAN fighters were killed by South African Military and were all buried in one grave at Ondeshifiilwa.[2]
