Pride Corner is located at the intersection of Whyte Avenue and Gateway Boulevard. In 2022, it was officially recognized as a Pride Corner following a petition which gained over 10,000 signatures.

- Amarjeet Sohi, mayor of Edmonton, officially recognized the intersection as Pride Corner with a proclaimation on May 13, 2022.[2][1] City councillor Michael Janz presented the proclaimation on behalf of the mayor at a ceremony on May 13, 2022.[2] The ceremony was also attended by Martin Boyce, a participant in the 1969 Stonewall riots.[2]

- A series of restraining orders against one of the main Pride Corner organizers, Claire Pearen, have dampened activities at Pride Corner.[3] The first was filed on October 18, 2022 and remained in place until the order was vacated on March 8, 2023. The second was filed on March 30, 2023 by Olga Podgornaja, a Chrisitian evangelist. This restraining order was dismissed on May 12, 2023. Another restraining order was filed on May 30, 2023 by Pordgornaja due to her belief that the first order should not have been dismissed.[3]
