My name is Thomas Alexander (born 1990). I have a PhD in Ancient History in Swansea University, researching the development of ethnos and koinon in Greek Antiquity. Originally from Norway, I moved to the United Kingdom to study in 2011, and have resided here ever since. Since moving the United Kingdom I have obtained a B.A Joint Honours in History and Ancient History at Swansea University and a MSc in the Hellenistic World at the University of Edinburgh. My academic research interests are mythology, identity, the importance of stories, the coming of Rome in the Greek World, Polybius, and political history.

Outside academia I am interested in arts, literature, hiking, adventure, and music.

I have joined Wikipedia as I am strongly in support of open access learning, and I believe Wikipedia is a good tool for this.
