Vishisht Seva Medal | alma_mater = Indian Military Academy | spouse = Padmaja Rathore[[ (title)] }} Brigadier Bhupesh Singh Hada, SC, VSM (born 1970) is a star rank officer of the Indian Army, who was the Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor of the High Altitude Warfare School (HAWS) of Indian Army. He is the Titular King of erstwhile Princely State of Bundi in Rajasthan. He ascended the Gaadi of Hada-Chauhans on 12 December 2021 in a ceremony conducted at the the Raktdantika Mateshwari Temple, Sathoor, Bundi.

Early life

Brigadier Bhupesh was born to Maharaja Vijayraj Singh who is an educationist and social worker and belongs to the erstwhile Jaagir of Maalikpura and Chautron Ka Kheda. After his schooling from Sainik School, he joined the 79th-course of the National Defence Academy (NDA) in January 1988 and was assigned to the Golf squadron, where he graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Arts. After graduating from the NDA, he joined the Indian Military Academy and was commissioned as an officer. He subsequently attended the Higher Command Course at Naval War College and also earned a Post Graduation degree.

Career

Brigadier Bhupesh was commissioned into the Madras Regiment in 1991 and subsequently served with the Mechanised Infantry, Parachute Regiment (Special Forces) and Special Frontier Force (SFF). He did Staff Duty at Headquarters of an Infantry Brigade. In the rank of Major he served as the Senior Sector Military Observer at the United Nations Mission in Ethiopia and Eritrea.[8] Brigadier Bhupesh commanded prestigious Special Frontier Force (SFF) Battalion as Colonel and has been Siachen Brigade Commander and Force Commander of National Security Guards (NSG).

Military Operations

He has served in Operation Rhino, Orchid, Prakram, Kargil-Vijay, Falcon, Meghdoot and has had multiple tenures in Operation Rakshak.

Adventure

edit

He is an adventure enthusiast and summited Mount Everest in 2012. He is also a Paratrooper, Under Water Diver, Marathoner and Para Glider Pilot.

Personal Life

Brigadier Bhupesh married Padmaja Rathore from the Jasol village of Barmer District. The couple have a son named Raghav Hada

Honours and decorations

He is a recipient of the Shaurya Chakra, Vishisht Seva Medal.[20] Apart from these, he has been awarded the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Commendation Card twice, GOC-in-C Commendation Card,[9] Director General NSG Commendation Card and United Nations Force Commander Commendation Card.
