I am a professor in Kinesiology at the University of Windsor, in the socio-historical area. My research has focused on Aboriginal peoples in Canada in sport (both mainstream and traditional physical activities). I thus have an awareness of a lot of published work on this topic, and would like to ensure that others interested in this topic would be able to access such information efficiently and effectively. I will be working within Wikipedia to edit existing entries by adding more citations and where appropriate, additional information tied to individuals' involvement in Aboriginal sport matters (e.g., winner of the National Aboriginal Achievement Awards in the sports category). As well, I intend to add additional entries for Aboriginal sportspeople (which don't yet exist on Wikipedia) and for various elements that exist within the all-Aboriginal system of sport (e.g., Tom Longboat Awards, the North American Indigenous Games).
