Thank You Australia Inc (TYA) is an association of multicultural individuals and organisations that aims to establish goodwill and express appreciation to the host country Australia for giving people from across the globe the opportunity to live and settle in the country. TYA also gives opportunities to everyone to show appreciation or express gratitude to another individual, relatives or loved ones, organisation, group of people or society, government, and to the Divine Creator.

TYA's motto is "There is a time for everything... and there is a time for saying 'Thank You!'" As in any walk of life, there is a time for laughter, for joy, for tears, for asserting one's rights, a time for a cause, a time for helping others, a time for coming to life, a time for passing away, a time to repent, a time for remission, a time for victory, a time for whatever event it is that need to happen, etc.

Thank You Week is one event that gives opportunity for those who feel indebted to someone to express gratitude and appreciation. Such event creates awareness for human beings' innate desire to express goodwill from their innermost self and the bonding that comes out of it provides a realisation of joy on the part of the recipient. A simple gesture and yet it can be considered a strength rather than a weakness to acknowledge one's worthiness as seen by another.

TYA Inc was first conceived in 2002 in the midst of Sydney's western suburb, Rooty Hill, in New South Wales Australia. A concept emanating from God Is Good Mission's pastor, Rolly Militar, brought to life in 2003 when TYA was officially registered in mid 2003 as an existing incorporated community association. TYA is also recognised by NSW Community Relations Commission as a bonafide community organisation. [1];

Becky Horton took charge of its establishment and became its National Coordinator. Invitations and information letters were sent to churches and community organisations in the first quarter of 2003. Becky Horton travelled across Australia from one capital city to another and established branches in each capital city where meetings were held with key individuals and groups of people while small events were being held in Sydney west in 2003. From then on, TYA's activities were being held in the open with a number of multicultural individuals participating.

A series of meetings and local events were held in 2003 mainly in Rooty Hill, NSW. On 30 October, 2004, [2] the first ever Thank You Festival was held in Campbelltown Sports & Football Stadium in Leumeah, Macarthur Region. It was an all-day event with a number of participation from various multicultural groups and were attended by some dignitaries and government figures. A message from the Hon Prime Minister John Howard was read by his representative Mr Pat Farmer on the day when the Prime Minister also expressed his own gratitude of the role of multicultural communities’ contributions in Australia’s history, social trend and its current shape and development as we know it today.

During the festival, and since then, TYA events have always been highlighted by Catwalk & Design, a competition of fashion models and fashion designers, that is proving successful among the youth of today. Catwalk & Design is Becky Horton's brainchild having been exposed in costume production at a very young age [3] and giving opportunities for novice fashion models to find their niche in the industry, these young girls and boys undergo a crash course on modelling prior to the competition day.

TYA events and its Catwalk & Design have been held in other venues such as Sydney Centrepoint Convention & Conference Centre, Wesley Convention Centre in Sydney and Liverpool Catholic Club. Other events were also held separately in a number of states of Australia mainly in the capital cities. [4]
