Bangalore Restaurant Week was an event held for the first time in India in which Bangalore based restaurants participated. The event started on November 12 and ended on November 21, 2010.[1] It began with a cook-off at UB City between top chefs from Hotels in Bangalore and the finale saw a popular restaurant make Bangalore's biggest Crostini sandwich at Mantri Square which was given to a charitable organisation.[2]

Inspiration

The popular New York Restaurant Week is cited as the main sources of inspiration for Bangalore Restaurant Week.

74 of reportedly the best restaurants in Bangalore participated in the event. A number of sub-events which involved eating out related contests for patrons and guests at restaurants and shopping malls were also held.[3]
