Notes

edit
  1. ^ This number is disputed. Some sources report 2, but in some there is a 9 written in front of the 2, so there are also sources that display 92.
  2. ^ Belorussians used to be classified as Poles or Russians (or sometimes Lithuanians).
  3. ^ This note was attached and should be translated: "1881. a on Eestimaa kubermangus registreeritud 194 inglast, kuid Tartumaal Liivimaakubermangus inglasi, šotlasi ja iirlasi kokku 18 inimest."
  4. ^ a b c Previously Indian and Pakistani were considered one ethnic group.
  5. ^ This note was attached and should be translated: "Eestimaa kubermangus on registreeritud 5192 rootslast, 44 taanlast ja 18 norralast eraldi, kuid Lõuna-Eesti aladel Liivimaa kubermangus on märgitud norralasi, rootslasi ja taanlasi kokku 352 inimest."
  6. ^ a b It is not known whether Mongolian and Khalkha-Mongol were considered the same ethnic group.
  7. ^ It is not known whether Welsh were previously considered English.
