My real name is Marc Alexander, and if it weren't for my habit of keeping a similar username on many websites I would have used my real name right from the start on Wikipedia.
My areas of expertise are generally confined to certain specialist areas (the Historical Thesaurus of English, the University of Glasgow, stylistics, cognitive linguistics, legal interpretation and conceptual blending are the main ones), although I do contribute in a number of other areas when I think I can add something of value.
