The first parameter can change the link from "coffee" to your favourite supplier of the same.
Second parameter can change the time of day from "morning" to something else (maybe you are on the late shift?).
Example: {{User:UBXeno/needs coffee|Tim Hortons|afternoon}} results in -

Note: If you only want to set the 2nd parameter, you will have specify the number i.e. {{User:UBXeno/needs coffee|2=evening}}
