Hi, my name is Tudor Stanescu, and I am a recent Wikipedia contributor from 2015. I have been a Wikipedia "addict" for many years, dating back to sometime around the middle of my high school days, in 2006. I spent many countless hours and nights scrolling from one Wikipedia article to another. My biggest area of interest was learning more about my home country, Romania, and its rich history. I was particularly interested in the wars during the Dacian times, and Vladimir Tepes. During my earlier years I had never felt to be a strong writer, and I never saw an interest in becoming a contributor, nor did I know I could become a contributor. Over the last year or so I have gotten more and more interested in the outlet of blogging, which has allowed me to express myself in the writing form. After blogging for several months, my ambitions grew further as I then became more interested in completing bigger feats by getting published in reputable news outlets and industry publications. As a quick introduction before I forget, I work in the marketing field, and I am a hobbyist photographer.

My goal is to share as much knowledge with Wikipedia readers as much as I possibly can. One of my biggest mandates in life is to never stop learning, and I want to learn something new and interesting every day. So if I am able to teach someone something new every day, I feel like I have accomplished something that I value very highly.

As a photographer, my goal is to submit as many great photographs I take to Wikipedia for the community to see and learn from.

Background edit

I was born in Bucharest, Romania, on June 25th, 1990. My mother was an Engineering Professor at the University Politehnica of Bucharest, and my father was the Vice President of a marble installation company called Montmar. My parents decided to move to Canada sometime around 1999, and shortly after, on March 20th, 2000, we landed in new home, Canada. Having a professor as a parent meant great stress when it came to academics. I was under constant watch to perform well in school, and even spent many summer days during the summer break being taught every upcoming year's math curriculum. While hating that experience as a kid growing up, I was undoubtedly grateful by the time I reached university, and was far better prepared than most of my classmates. I graduated from McMaster University in 2012, with an Honour Bachelor of Commerce and a Minor in Economics.
