Hello, my name is Travis Bernard and I am from Maryland. I first became interested in Wikipedia editing after reading the book Darwin's Blind Spot: Evolution Beyond Natural Selection by Frank Ryan. The book discusses cooperative communication and how together we can achieve more. Rather than competing with one another to create the best online source for knowledge, we have chosen to work together and collectively create a better encyclopedia.. It's a great read, especially if you are interested in Wikipedia editing. Much of my current focus is on updating the home media sections for film articles and revising upcoming film articles so that they meet the MOS:Film standards. Outside of Wikipedia I enjoy extreme sports, all things social media, and electronic music.

I currently work for AOL. I realize that my work with these clients may potentially cause a conflict of interest in some situations; however, I remain dedicated to Wikipedia best practices and guidelines. Because of this potential conflict of interest, I appreciate any and all feedback for articles. I say this up front as a result of reading the Wikipedia Guidelines for WP:Conflict of Interest and will be sure to mention any potential bias from the start of editing an article. I have a thorough understanding of Wikipedia's WP:COI, WP:NPOV, and WP:RS guidelines, and I hope my transparency, as well as my contributions will be appreciated.
