The Florida Group The Florida Group is a shoe manufacturer in the English city of Norwich. Originally founded in 1936 when the city was the leading shoe manufacturing centre in the UK, it is the last large scale manufacturer in the City. The Company is headed by Simon Goodman, the grandson of the founder. The principle brand today is Van Dal, which specialises in wider than average fitting shoes for women. Currently it is supplying 450,000 pairs a year into the UK and Irish markets. The Florida Group also markets the Pikolinos and Marc brands in the UK and Ireland.
