Standard message texts

Coordinators may compose their own messages; these standard texts are only guidelines for convenience.

The first message on a participant's talk page is often entitled simply "AdminReview", and subsequent messages posted in the same section.

Stage 1: Initial listing

Option A: Vexatious or trivial

To the admin. This message should be sent at the discretion of the Coordinator (depending on how long the complaint has been viewable for, and whether a repeat or nuisance complaint). Please delete either "vexatious" or "trivial".

A complaint that you have breached the policy governing administrators' actions and behaviour was listed at AdminReview. The complaint has been dismissed as vexatious/trivial and has been removed without substantive record.

Option B: Not significant enough

To the admin

While the complaint has not been judged as vexatious or trivial, we believe that it fails to warrant further investigation. The case has been recorded as such, and will be deleted after seven days.

Option C: Prima facie case

To the admin.

Dear Username

A complaint that you have breached the policy governing administrators' actions and behaviour was listed at AdminReview. We believe that the complaint prima facie warrants investigation; it has therefore been moved to Stage 2.

AdminReview relies on the good faith of participants to achieve favourable outcomes. You now have the opportunity to respond to the complaint in up to 200 words, [[ |here]], if you wish; please do this within 24 hours, if you can manage it. The complainant may then post a rejoinder of up to 100 words after your response; if this is done, you may also post a rejoinder of up to 100 words.

The timing of Stage 2 is at the coordinator's discretion. Either party may apply to me for leave to:

• make a third or subsequent posting, although this is granted only with strong reason, and to both parties if at all;
• enable a third party to post a comment, although this is granted only with strong reason;
• extend the time normally taken for their next posting, where real-life or other online commitments make prompt participation difficult.
