Purate^® is a brand name for a small scale chlorine dioxide precursor. It is comprised of sodium chlorate and hydrogen peroxide. Purate is a registered trademark of Eka Chemicals, Inc.. When reacted with sulfuric acid, Purate produces chlorine dioxide. The reaction of these two chemicals is carried out in a SVP-Pure^® chlorine dioxide generator.
