Rob Mitchell is... Property Assessor in Rutherford County Tennessee Rob Mitchell' (born 1958) is the current Property Assessor of Rutherford County, Tennessee. He has held this position since 2012 and is running for re-election in 2024.

Mitchell was born in the 1958 in Bluefield, West Virginia and earned a Bachelor's degree in Business from Middle Tennessee State University.

Career

Before becoming Property Assessor, Mitchell operated a successful insurance agency in Nashville, Tennesseefor many years. He has also held various positions in the private sector.

As Property Assessor

Mitchell has implemented several programs and initiatives during his time in office, including Smart Rutherford and Historic Property Tax Abatement. He has also focused on fairness and accuracy in property valuations. In 2023, the Rutherford County Property Assessor's Office achieved Three Star Certification from the TNAAO.
