Nazar Heydar oghlu Heydarov (Azerbaijani: Nəzər Heydər oğlu Heydərov; 1896 – 30 December 1968) was an Azerbaijani politician who served as Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Azerbaijan SSR from 1949 to 1954.

Biography

Nazar Heydarov was born in 1896 in the village Gurjulu of the Zangezur uezd, present-day Gubadli District.


Family

Nazar Heydarov's son, Arif Heydarov (1926–1978) was a statesman and served as the Minister of Internal Affairs. He was shot dead in his ministerial office. His other son, Gachay Heydarov (1920–1990) was an economist and worked at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics
