FrogTape is a brand of painter's tape.
History
editFrogTape was first unveiled in May 2007 at the National Hardware Show. In 2009, Shurtape Technologies acquired the patent and trademark for FrogTape in Canada, Europe, and the United States.[1]
According to Inspired Technologies co-founder David Wagner, the tape's name came from the green color of the tape, which an employee noted was similar to a species of tree frog.[2]
PaintOver Challenge
editFrogTape holds an annual Paintover Challenge in collaboration with Taniya Nayak, a television personality.[3]
