I am Tirthajyoti Sarkar. Currently, I hold the position of Senior Device Engineer in the Device Design and Modeling Group at Fairchild Semiconductor (India) Pvt. Ltd. I live in Pune, a city in Maharastra province of India.
Prior to this I was a doctoral student in the University of Illinois at Chicago in Electrical and Computer Engineering department. I graduated with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 2009.
I have been an active user of Wikipedia for few years now and want to contribute in my own capacity. My interests are varied starting from cultural history to military equipments or Academy award winning movies. However, I feel most comfortable contributing articles related to my country India, my mother tongue Bengali or my birthplace Kolkata. I also contribute to articles related to semiconductor device, electronics etc.
