The Coup on Fort Christiansborg (Danish; Kuppet på Fort Christiansborg) or the Akwamu takeover of Fort Christiansborg (Danish; Akwamuernes overtagelse af Fort Christiansborg), was a coup d'état on the Danish colonial fort and capital of the Danish Gold Coast, Christiansborg (modern-day Osu Castle) by the Akwamu. The coup was succesful and the businessman, Nana Asamani, subsequently appointed himself governor of the fort.
