TIM WALSH wrote Timeless Toys, considered by many to be a definitive book on toys and their inventors (Andrews-McMeel, 2005). It was praised by The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and The Today Show. Tim’s second tome to toys, WHAM-O Super-Book, (Chronicle Books, 2008) was picked by NPR as “One of the best gift books of the year.”

Tim’s designs and co-designs of games, toys, APPcessory toys and educational products have sold over 7 million copies in 15 countries. As a designer, Tim was the subject of the documentary film Toyland, by director Ken Sons. This feature-length film follows Tim as he tries to take his Crazy Chins concept to market. Tim also served as Creative Consultant and Co-Editor on Toyland, which won Best Documentary awards at three US film festivals. Sold to Documentary Channel in 2011, Toyland made its national US television debut that year and its national debut overseas in 2012, when it was broadcast across Japan.

A 25-year veteran of the toy industry, Tim is known internationally as a toy expert. He has appeared on numerous TV, radio and web programs, including The Early Show, NPR’s All Things Considered, This Way Up (Radio New Zealand), Top 100 Toys (BBC), History Channel’s Our Generation, and The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch, among others. Tim’s games and books have been featured on Good Morning America and in The New York Times.
