About
editSeminole Middle School is a public middle school governed by Pinellas County Schools (PCS). The school has about 800 students. Since their logo is a hawk, they created an backronym for their guidelines for success with that word:
- Have respect for self and others
- Always prepared and on time
- Will make good choices
- Keep focused on goals
- Show responsibility
Characteristics
editThe school includes kids from different nationalities, by giving kids interpreters in the class rooms and follow them around all day incase they need help. The school also has many disabled kids, like blind and deaf people. The school makes it a priority by hiring sign language interpreters to ensure that they receive a good integration. Due to weekly Character Circles the school tries to implement valuable character education. Every Monday morning the students are asked deeper-level questions to get them thinking about character education. In 2019 the school was the only one in Pinellas County which was honored by character.org.[1]
