The Hajji Baba Club is the oldest organization in the United States devoted to collecting and study of oriental carpets and antique textiles. Founded in New York City in 1932, and still based there as of 2019, the Club has aided in founding or adding to collections of Oriental carpets and textiles at many American museums . [1]
In 2019, the Club announced the creation of a new fellowship in the field of carpet scholarship.The award for 2019-2020 will be $5,000. [2]
