Introduction edit

I am a Canadian engineer, with formal education in physics, software engineering, systems engineering and project management. I have made good use of the Wikipedia so far and I believe it may very well be the best software of this decade with respect to its contribution to humanity. One other noteable piece of software that I regularly use in conjunction with it is mind map software. I believe that well constructed mind maps that contain embedded hyperlinks to internally and externally held information resources (such as Wikipedia) stored on portable flash memory corresponds more closely to the "memex" augmented memory system that was envisioned by Vannevar Bush and expanded upon by Douglas Engelbart and other scientists that followed. I currently carry one in my pocket and highly recommend this technique to anyone who is interested in augmenting their personal information storage and access capabilities.
