Wheelmap.org is a project of the nonprofit organization SOZIALHELDEN e.V. based in Germany. Subject is gathering and visualization of information about wheelchair accessible places all over the world. Founded in 2010 by Raul Krauthausen, who has been decorated with the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for his commitment in social projects, Wheelmap.org today is the biggest platform of its kind. The geographical information are taken from the Open Street Map.
