The 2015 North Sulawesi gubernatorial election was held on 9 December of that year, alongside other concurrent elections, to elect the governor and vice governor of the province of North Sulawesi for a five year term. Incumbent governor Sinyo Harry Sarundajang, who had served since 2005 did not run for re-election.

The election saw three different tickets for governor and vice governor. The first was the ticket of Olly Dondokambey and Steven Kandouw, backed by the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P). The second was the ticket of Elly Lasut and David Bobihoe Akib, backed by Golkar and the People's Conscience Party (Hanura). And the third was the ticket of Maya Rumantir and Glenny Kairupan, backed by the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) and the Democratic Party (Demokrat). The ticket of Olly Dondokambey and Steven Kandouw led throughout the campaign.[1]

On election night, the pair dominated the race, winning the quick count results with 50,82%. Way ahead of the opposition.[2] Following the recapitulation of the results by the General Elections Commission (KPU), Olly Dondokambey won the election in an outright majority with 51,41% of the vote. Defeating Elly Lasut, who only received 30.94%, and Maya Rumantir, who only received 17,65%.[3]
