The Willonian Institute formed in 1832 on "The Great Heath" now confined to Mouse-hold. It was first contact with the entity "Willow" whom had until that time been left undisturbed as a collective entity amongst the wet low lying woodlands. This desirable area for Housing necessitated the chopping of the Willow and drainage of vast areas. The entity soon became manifest and inhabited the new garden trees, eventually entering his first house in 1835. The rest is unknown.
The Entity 'Willow'
It's rumored that first contact with 'The Entity' was made some 30 years ago on Argyle Street Norwich.
A 'Trance Medium' was seen to transform into 'The Willow' witnessed by 20 or so new age travelers during a house meeting at No 26 Argyle Street, 7.30pm 21st June 1983. N.B. The entity said he had been 'disturbed' by 'someone shaking the web'.

He next appeared as an apparition to several party goers in No 1 Willow Lane on 21st Dec 1983 and spoke only 5 words 'Behold I am made manifest'.
The fact that these were the Summer and Winter Solstice - auspicious days in the Pagan calendar has not gone unnoticed.
It was not until 1984 that he actually started speaking through people, and this "channeling" has been encouraged and indeed become easy for some members of the group.
He prefers to reside in a place he calls "unfixed space" and appears only rarely, usually when threatened.
He has said he will not rest until his wood is restored "Winding Mares-weir n Daleshill" it is thought the reference is to Dussindale hill and the Wensum's tidal reach currently at New Mills Yard. However this originally would have been further up river passed Mares Hill at 'Wrai-lay wood'.
