The Land Trust for Tennessee works with communties and individuals to identify our natural and historic assets and to protect these important lands and sites before they disappear forever. More than 88,000 acres of scenic and historic Tennessee open space have already been protected. These acres include working farms, recreational land, public parks, historic Civil War and Native American sites, biking and hiking trails, animal habitat, urban open space, scenic vistas, critical watersheds, family land passed down over generations and much more. There are currently over 35 projects in the works across the state of Tennessee.
