The Curator- Ms. Aradhana Dalmia

Developing a keen inclination towards painting during her childhood, Aradhana has always been drawn to artistic expression. Her formal training in art has been imparted from some of the world’s most renowned colleges like the Chelsea College of Art and Design, London; Manchester School of Art, Manchester and Sotheby’s Institute of Art, New York. Overtime, this has allowed her to develop her own unique art aesthetic and a forte in Oil on Canvas painting. She founded The Artemist in 2014 with the dual purpose of managing exemplary commissions and offering a carefully curated art collection, for her client’s needs.

The Luminous Project:

While exploring her passion for painting, Aradhana Dalmia came up with the idea of “Glow in the Dark” painting. She launched her new series ‘Luminous’- an indigenous project hoping to innovate in the oil painting art space. In natural light, the luminous paintings are vivacious pieces of oil on canvas but when exposed to special light, they become a scintillating story. The paint used for this purpose is made by Aradhana herself. Generally, the ‘glow in the dark paintings’ are made using acrylic colours but Aradhana innovated the concept by making them with oil, moving a step forward in the chromatic world. After meticulous layering and experimentation, her drive for adding a new and exciting dimension to her paintings resulted in the creation of this unique range. The beautiful pieces of oil on canvas become luminescent when exposed to ultraviolet lights and are a visual treat to the eyes. ===
