Los Americans is an American web drama series starring Esai Morales, Tony Plana, JC Gonzalez, Raymond Cruz, Lupe Ontiveros, Yvonne Delarosa, Ana Villafane, and others. The pilot episode originally aired on May 26, 2011 in PIC.tv, was produced by One Economy and its director Dennis Leoni. This web drama series tells the story of a realistic and complex manner of a multi-generational family income Latino who lives in Los Angeles, California, which deals with issues that many families face today as teenage pregnancy, unemployment, cultural identity, and alcoholism. This Latin-American web series that reflect the drama of many Latinos adjust to this new culture involved.

Los Americans is a series depicting the history of the Valenzuela family and many American families, and immigrants from Latin America looking for new opportunities and in their desire to be accepted into this new culture to obscure its roots and deny their culture to be included in this new society. Lee as Leandro Valenzuela prefers to be called proclaims: "We are not Mexicans. Mexicans living in Mexico. We are Americans". In their process of adaptation, Lee (Esai Morales) the patriarch, Alma (Yvonne Delarosa) his wife, Paul (JC Gonzalez) his son and Jennifer (Ana Villafañe) his daughter must face different situations ranging from teen pregnancy, alcoholism, abortion, immigration, homelessness, childhood obesity, cultural identity, unemployment and others. All this reflects the problems faced by human beings especially when the challenge is to stop being second-class citizens in a country that refuses to accept them. Finally Lee and his family feel they do not fit into this new country which they are proud to belong and not to its former Latino culture and who have lost their language and many of the values that characterize but surely, must retake the course and they believe that in the end all these sacrifices will pay off. This situation is the same for many other immigrant families in the United States.

This is a powerful series, dealing with real life issues that many of our viewers face and will help families and individuals from various backgrounds connect to life enhancing tools and resources.
