License tagging for Image:Hunterspoint2006.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Hunterspoint2006.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 04:06, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Mosley.2005.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Mosley.2005.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 21:47, 9 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

What does it mean? edit

Notice of request for deletion of editor Telstar Logistics :) edit

Telstar Logistics, the editor you are, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that you satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space. Your opinions on yourself are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at User:R/EFD#Telstar Logistics and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit during the discussion but should not remove the editors for deletion template from the top of your userpage; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you, and have a good sense of humor :). -Goodshoped 04:17, 24 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

This account with this username has been blocked indefinitely because the username may be rude or inflammatory, be unnecessarily long or confusing, be too similar to an existing user, contain the name of an organization or website, refer to a Wikipedia or Wikimedia Foundation process or namespace, or be otherwise inappropriate (see our blocking and username policies for more information).

You are encouraged to create a new account and contribute to Wikipedia under an appropriate username. Our username policy provides guidance on selecting your username.

Alternately, you may request a change in username if you want to keep the contributions from this account. To do so, please follow these directions:

  1. Add {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. This is possible because even when you are blocked, you can still edit your own talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked.
  3. You will have 24 hours after the unblock to file a request before you may be re-blocked. Please note, you may only request a name that is not already in use; do not create the new account then request a name change. For more information, please visit Wikipedia:Changing username.

In many cases (especially if your account has few or no edits), it is much easier to create a new account. You may also edit Wikipedia without creating an account. Due to Wikipedia's mechanism for enforcing name changes, your IP address may be temporarily blocked. Unless you have also been engaging in vandalism or impersonation of another user, we will remove that block as soon as possible.

If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below or emailing the administrator who blocked you.

What? Let me straighten this out... --AnonEMouse (squeak) 21:31, 28 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

AnonEMouse and I have talked, and come to the decision that you be allowed to retain this username, and be unblocked. I should stress, however, that your user name is, at least in my view, kind of getting close to the edge, because it has relations to your marketing of merchandise marked with this "brand". Kind regards, -- Anonymous DissidentTalk 15:54, 30 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Image:Hunterspoint2006.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on Image:Hunterspoint2006.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Hunterspoint2006.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. BoL (Talk) 03:10, 4 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

The Jonny Moseley image edit

Hello Telstar, I saw that someone tried to remove your image of Jonny Moseley from is article, today. I don't know, bu maybe it would be best if you went to the Images page and posted the following:

{{self2|GFDL-with-disclaimers|cc-by-sa-2.5,2.0,1.0}}

What is that... edit

... in the lower section of the Hunters Point image? The part right at the bottom of the image. Looks like a small airport layout, but no runways. Maury Markowitz (talk) 21:08, 27 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
