TED WILSON

Ted Wilson was the Director of Ice Rinks from 2004 to 2011, all called World Ice Arena in various major cities in mainland China, for China Resources Land, developers of large luxury projects that include shopping malls, 5 star hotels, residential and office towers. Ted Joined China Resources in January 2004 after 15 years as Skating Services Manager for Swire Properties in Hong Kong from 1987 to 2002. From August 4 1980 to April 4, 1987, Ted was the Skating Director and Manager of the Galleria Ice Theatre at the Hyatt Regency Dubai, UAE where he project ice shows featuring such stars as Richard Dwyer, John Curry, JoJo Starbuck, David Santee, Gerty Desjardins, and many others. In other show projects, Ted has showcased former Olympic champion Dorothy Hamill, Toller Cranston, and skating stars David Liu, Karen Kresge, Rory Flack, Lauren Chabot, Oliver, Cecille and Isabelle Jacquemart, John Stead, Richard Dwyer, and many others.

In July 2008, Ted became project director for three new rinks in middle and northern China for China resources. In January 2009 Ted moved to Hangzhou China to take up a position with China Resources Sun Hung Kai, Ltd., to oversee the new World Ice Arena Hangzhou, as well as other World Ice Arena projects in Shenyang, Chengdu and Nanning, China. All of these begin to open in March 2010 with remaining projects opening over the following 2 years. All are Olympic size rinks located in luxury class shopping malls in some of China's best known cities.

In April 2011, Ted was invited by Keith G. Kerr, former Chairman of Swire Properties and current Chairman of the Development Studio to join the company and be CEO of a new division called Ice Rink Concepts, whose projects were primarily by Hong Kong developers involved in Mainland China developments and commercial centers.

Ted's network in the world of skating and ice rinks is extensive and includes numerous world and Olympic skating champions such as Dorothy Hamill, Zhao Hongbo and Shen Xue, Speed skating Olympic Champion Yang Yang, as well as well known show performers such as Richard Dwyer, Karen Kresge, Surya Bonaly, and many others.

Ted's permanent home is located in Laguna Hills, California. Ted is a permanent resident of Hong Kong.
