Tutorial 2

Economy of East Timor

Foremost impressions of the first substantial edit are stark. Upon first glance, the reader is met with pure statistics of East Timor's economy which contains no introduction and very limited structure. It's not a pretty page, with limited sentence structure and no pictures, citations or referencing of any sort. Furthermore, a number of the statistics have been left blank or entered as N/A.

Had I created the page originally I would've made more of an attempt to research economic statistics upon an economy which in 2002 was fresh upon the global map, seeing its independence formally recognised in 2001. Moreover, for a country which in 2002 lived in absolute poverty, images may portray the results of the published economic statistics. Again, graphs which explain the cause and effect for shifts in economic growth, unemployment, inflation and the standard of living would further emphasise the results of those statistics. Finally, an introduction would further assist in understanding the economy's dramatic shifts.

WikProject Scale: Stub

In order to elevate this article's rating to an A-class scale, editing would have to be profusely revised as many sentences are roughly written and misses a large number of punctuation.

In order to upgrade to the A-class, I recommend anyone editing this article to consider referencing why this topic is significant which will help to provide breadth of detail to the overall wiki page.
