Mahalaxmi Gita Bangera (born Mahalaxmi Vishwanathan; 19th March 1966) is a leading biologist in the United States of America. She is the Assistant Dean of Science, Chair of Life Sciences and the Director of ComGen (Community College Genomics Research Initiative) at Bellevue College. She is also the Lead of Undergraduate Research program selected for fundraising by the Bellevue College Foundation.
Biography
editBangera received her MSc Degree in Microbiology from University of Bombay in 1988. She then went on to completely her MS in Biological Sciences from Carnegie-Mellon University (Pittsburgh, PA, USA). She received her PhD degree in Microbiology from Washington State University (Pullman, WA, USA) in 1996.
