La Vienta (meaning "the wind" in Spanish) are a flamenco/jazz guitar duo that origintated in El Paso, Texas, most widely known for their debut album, Jazzmenco, which reached #17 on the billboard contemporary jazz chart. The members are Stefan Schyga and Mario Otero, as well as various session musicians. The group released three albums on Telarc International, which sold to 28 countries in the world. In 2006 La Vienta played at Guitar Town Festival, which included Joe Satriani, Joe Bonamassa, Tommy Emmanuel and Sonny Landreth. Their song "Paco's Night Out" was featured on Guitarra Romantica Vol. 3, alongside Paco De Lucia and Baden Powell de Aquino[1]
