Plot Synopsis edit

In the never ending battle for political power, the first casualty is always the truth. When CBI Internal Investigator Jaidev Mishra is assigned a new case, he will be forced to face his own apathy & preconceived notions. The job is simple, verify the reports submitted of an official police encounter of a suspected Naxalite activist and close the case. The report leaves no room for doubt - the officers had to shoot in self defense. But primary witness Arunima Sen is convinced that the incident requires further investigation.

His superior feels he should look at the bigger picture and not focus on the apparent minor details. As he  uncovers more and more facts about the case, he will have to choose between saving his career and doing what is right. Will Jaidev choose the path of expedience or will he stand up for what he feels is right?

Reviews & Reception edit

The India Together Magazine wrote a detailed Still Voices Film Review recently- "Still Voices throws up a microcosm of the reality that exists in the country today where voices are stilled, rebels are shot down without a trial, entire families are killed through terrible errors of confusion by the very people who are paid to protect lives."
