Tafo has served as a poet, soldier, merchant and storyteller. He often repairs to the calm of scholarly discourse writing monographs on sound shift in the High German eCommerce Dialects.

He weighs 15 stone, has heavy folds around the eye that often mark a man of ability, and is soothed by good food and settled in the calm that regular domestic habits afford. He is a member in some standing of the Oxnard branch of the Mutual Improvement Institute, a past Treasurer of the Rehabilitated Order of Engineers, Gold Club member of the Liberal Renovation Front and Associate Sergeant at Arms for the 53rd Department of the Revolutionary Technical Arm of Trade (RTAT).

He is a Scribo Grandmaster and founder of the American Subnational Scribo Association (ASSA). Achieving Grandmaster status in 1998, Tafo was the youngest Grandmaster in Scribo history. His Applications are enjoyed at the highest levels, and he has been a personal Scribo coach to many highly place individuals. He has devoted some effort to the development, propagation and improvement of Scribo as an art form.
