Bangladeshi American Sports League (BASL) is a professional sports league founded during the year 2018 in the city of Paterson to allow the community to unite through the interest and love for sports. BASL is a nonprofit organization which aims to focus and expand in the world of sports by overseeing and implementing variety of sports events/tournaments throughout the past few years. BASL was designed to focus on allowing individuals to demonstrate and highlight their incredible talent in the sports that they take part in, but also allows individuals to have the opportunity to play sports on a higher level even beyond school/ college teams.
As we continue to expand and operate, we have realized that BASL has opened up opportunities for all individuals regardless of age and/or gender to participate in the various sports tournaments that take place in the city of Paterson. The tournaments hosted by BASL have brought significant competition in the city of Paterson but also the neighboring cities- Totowa, Prospect Park, Clifton and Haledon. Based on many events, BASL was able to expand beyond the residents in the city of Paterson, including residents/ players from Totowa, Prospect Park, Clifton and Haledon, but also across the USA- Arizona, Florida, New York, New Jersey, Missouri, Michigan and Virginia.
BASL has hosted various sports tournaments including the annual soccer tournament, volleyball tournament, badminton tournament, football, and many more throughout the years. BASL’s most exciting tournament would be the annual soccer tournaments – especially known as the Gold Cup Soccer League which take place during the summer every year in Pennington Park- Paterson NJ.
BASL Sponsorships have expand throughout the past year as BASL finances are significantly impacted by the generous sponsors and sponsorships. BASL continues to greatly appreciates the sponsors and sponsorships for their kind support and contribution.
