Sheila Walsh was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts and graduated from Boston University. The first part of her career was as an actress. Her full-length plays include: Tea With Mommy and Jack (starring Sylvia Miles) River Arts Theatre, Woodstock,N.Y and the Hudson Guild Theatre, New York City. O the Days! –Doset Theatre, Vermont. Himself! (starring Len Cariou) Caldwell Theatre, Florida (nominated for the Carbonelli award,) the musical Himself and Nora produced at the Old Globe, SanDiego-( received a National Endowment for the Arts Award.) Also produced at the Mill Theatre Dundrum, Ireland. Her one act play Molly and James (winner of Double Image Play Festival) published by Samuel French and Applause Books. It continues to be produced throughout the United States. Joanna’s My Name –printed by Stages Magazine. Other one acts have been produced at the Actors Studio, Rattlestick Theater, Kaufman Theatre, Laurie Beechman Theatre and The Workshop. Miss Walsh’s recent play is Mr.Tweedy’s Neighbors.
