I am particularly interested in key landmarks of biblical military history, although I would be better termed a dabbler than a scholar. Some examples of my interests are the first historical record of military action led by a woman (Deborah), the first historical record of the use of a commando force and psychological warfare (Gideon), and the role of iron in philistine military superiority (Judges through 2 Chronicles).

I find the campaigns of King David to be of particular interest because their accounts are far more detailed than most other accounts.

To this end I have learned the use of the sling, learned to fight in reproduction armor, and of course enjoyed many hours of reading.
