Swargadwari Ashram

Swargadwari, the uninhabited land with the dense forest which has been the grazing ground of the holy cows, is from time immemorial known as a Taposthal where Tapasya was also performed by the Pancha Pandava in their well-known Himalaya journey en route to the Heaven. The Swargadwari Ashram provides a pleasant encounter, with protected dense forest and beautiful garden endowed with the charming waterfalls. The Ashram houses, hundreds of students (Batuk), teachers (Guru) and spiritual trainers. Thousands of cows are seen grazing the ground below the Ashram in terraced land. The place is unique in the sense that it provides the most exotic scenes with the background of Dhawalagiri and Annapurna Himalayan range. One cannot but be inspired by the prayers in the morning when hundreds of Pandit perform Hawan and Aarati. The ritual fire which has been there for hundreds of years- Hawan is performed with pure butter-ghee for hours in tune with the Vedic Mantras to pacify as well as to purify the environment of the Ashram and the world at large. Various other activities like Kirtan and Vajan are performed daily. The area of the Ashram, which embraces hundreds of square kilometers, also provides natural caves for eggers trainers. The visiting pilgrims are provided with lodging and food free of cost as is the custom set by Mahaprabhu.
