Patrick Glen Keeley aka The Rugged Dude is a television personality and television producer from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. In 2004, he legally changed his name to Rugged Dude Carson, on the advice of a marketing agency in Minneapolis.
For nine years RD produced and hosted the popular comedy-based fishing and hunting show, Officially Rugged with RD. At the highest point, the show had a distribution of 52 million households in Canada and the United States. The show is currently in syndication on various channels and networks in North America.
In 2006, RD hosted a daily radio feature called "Rugged Radio," in Thunder Bay on 105.3 The Giant.
In 2009, RD authored an on-line book called, “The Trip of a Lifetime.” He has also written articles on fishing and hunting for various magazines and newspapers.
The Rugged Dude is currently working on a new cooking show. The concept of the show sees RD cooking wild fish and game front of a live studio audience. A pilot was produced in the summer of 2009 and series production has started in 2010.

He also made some traditional Cree bannock (a quick bread often used by campers and sportsmen) along with a drink he called the Rugged Dude Bug Blaster.
Personal Life edit
RD lives a very private life in a rustic, log style home in the countryside thirty miles outside of Thunder Bay, Ontario. He has two grown daughters from a previous marriage. His hobbies include playing the drums, fishing, hunting and working in the garden.
