Elizabeth Smith Kirkpatrick

BIOGRAPHY

Elizabeth "Liz" Kirkpatrick was born on March 1, 1983, to parents Richard and Eliza Kirkpatrick in Bethesda, Maryland. The oldest of three children, Liz was then joined by brothers William and Andrew. After living in Maryland, for several years, her parents moved the family to Orinda, California.

Liz quickly acclimated to her new surroundings, making many friends, with whom she attended Miramonte High School. During high school, Liz focused more avidly on socializing than she did her academic studies. Despite her high instrest in weekend activities (shopping, beach going, socializing), Liz still managed to graduate in the top percentile of her graduating class.

EDUCATION

After graduating, Liz returned to her eastern United States roots, and enrolled at the presitgious Denison University [1] in Granville, OH. There she quickly made friends with her dorm-mates, including Lindsay Korenich, Emily Davis and Christine Pappas, whom she is still friends with today.

During her sophomore year, Liz deciding to go through the recruitment process and join a sorority. Ultimately, she became a member of Delta Delta Delta, where many of her friends had joined the previous school year. It was after joining Tridelta that Liz met some of her closest friends, including Lindsey Miller and Rehana Ashraf. Liz and her group of girlfriends were very prominent on the social circuit at Denison, often throwing joint parties with fraternities (Phi Delt and Fiji) and men's sports teams' (Soccer and Football). In addition to these festive gatherings, Liz and her friends also enjoyed shopping and eating at outdoor mecca Easton Town Center, as well as showing thier patronage to the fews bars who called Granville home. Liz could often be found having a cocktail and some villa chips at Granvilla Pizza (a.k.a The Villa) on a Friday night, or downing a "Haymaker" and enjoying live musical performances at Brew's on Open Mike Night.

After living in dormitories for two years, Liz had had enough. She and friend/fellow sorority sister Rehana finegaled thier way into getting an off-campus house (which was against Denison University policies). This quickly became the location for many dinners, late nights, parties and celebrations. Liz and Rehana continued to live in thier house until the end of thier senior year.

Near the end of her senior year, Liz and friends Lindsey, Lindsay and Rehana decided to take advantage of thier last spring break, and went on a week long vacation to Acapulco, Mexico where they stayed at the popular Copacabana resort [2]. The girls enjoyed spending the days on the beach and the nights club hopping to the popular clubs along Acapulco's coast.

PROFESSIONAL CAREER

Shortly after vacation, Liz graduated from Denison University with a Bachelor's degree in French and a minor in Psychology. She then moved back to the west coast, taking a job at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates in San Francisco. After spending a year there, Liz changed career paths and accepted a position wtih Iron Creative Communications, where she is currently working as an Assistant Account Executive.

Liz lives in a suburb of San Francisco with fellow Denison alum, Christine Pappas. She still enjoys shopping, Bloody Marys, big sunnies and vacations. Most recently she went to Sayulita, Mexico with friends from college for Katy Comer Gray's wedding.
